Older neighborhoods and new
The city's four historic neighborhoods near downtown, Mill Street, Downtown, Sophienburg Hill and Stock, have some of its oldest homes on shaded streets. Most newer homes are in subdivisions, with larger rural homes on the outskirts and many homes near the Comal and Guadalupe rivers and Lake Dunlap. An older home's roof and a new subdivision roof need different things; we'll look at yours and explain the options.
Hail in recent springs
NOAA recorded two-inch hail in New Braunfels in March 2022, and golf-ball-size hail in Vintage Oaks, northwest of the city, in March 2023. Hail that size can crack shingles and tiles and dent metal roofs and gutters, so a check after a spring storm is worth it.
