Exterior Painting in San Antonio
Paint on the outside of a house protects it as well as changing how it looks. Strong sun and summer heat wear exterior paint down, so preparation and timing matter. We paint siding, trim, fascia, soffits and doors.

Signs it's time to repaint
Exterior paint usually shows when it's failing:
- Paint that's peeling, cracking or blistering
- Faded or chalky paint that rubs off on your hand
- Bare wood showing on trim, fascia or window sills
- Gaps where trim meets the siding, or around windows and doors
Preparation outside
On an exterior job the preparation takes as long as the painting. Surfaces are washed, loose and peeling paint is scraped and sanded, gaps are caulked and bare wood primed, and rotted trim or siding is repaired or replaced before any paint goes on.
Weather and timing
Paint needs the right conditions to cure: not in the rain, and not on a surface that's too hot or too cold for the product. In San Antonio that often means working around hot afternoons on sunny walls and around rainy spells. We plan the days with that in mind.
Siding and trim repairs first
Paint won't fix wood that has rotted or siding that has cracked. We also repair and replace siding and trim, so the damaged sections can be fixed and the house painted in one project.
SidingCommon questions
Can you paint just the trim?
Yes. Painting the trim, fascia and doors can freshen the outside of a house without repainting all the siding.
When should I paint the outside of my house?
Spring and fall are the most comfortable seasons for it in San Antonio, but exterior painting can be done much of the year when the weather cooperates. Ask us when you get in touch.
Do you paint front doors and garage doors?
Yes. Doors are part of exterior painting, and a front door in a new color is a small change that shows.
